Worst condition of hindu girls in pakistan

HIMANSHU MISHRA

In Pakistan, Hindu girls frequently face violence and discrimination in the form of forced conversion,

forced marriage, and other forms. Over 1,000 Hindu girls were forced to convert,

according to a report from Pakistan's Human Rights Commission for the year

2020 alone. These girls are frequently kidnapped, forced to convert to Islam,

and then married to Muslim men. For fear of retaliation from their

families and communities, they are forced to live in secrecy

and are frequently denied access to healthcare and education.

The issue of forced conversion has been addressed by the Pakistani government,

but these efforts have been largely ineffective. A law that criminalized forced conversion was

passed by the government in 2019; however, this law has been criticized for being too weak.

Additionally, the law is not enforced, and many people

who commit forced conversion are never caught.
