Is Germany really becoming a Muslim nation?

HIMANSHU MISHRA

Germany is extremely unlikely to become a Muslim nation anytime soon.

The Pew Research Center conducted a study in 2021 and

found that Muslims make up only 5.9% of the German population.

Even though there is a growing Muslim population, it is still a small minority.

It is highly unlikely that Germany will become a Muslim

nation due to a number of factors. First and foremost, Germany is a secular nation

with a strong Christian past. By far most of Germans (67%)

distinguish as Christian, and Christianity keeps on assuming a significant part in German culture.

Second, religious liberty is highly valued in Germany.

Religion freedom is guaranteed by the

German constitution and protected by law.
