Travelling to Mukteshwar is very easy as I will suggest you some of the best options to reach Mukteshwar very easily. If you are travelling from North side of India than it is very easy to reach Nainital like you just have to go and sit in bus of Haldwani and in just 5 to 8 hours you will reach to Haldwani from Delhi. If you are having your personal vehicle than definetly you will enjoy your journey via road and the roads of this route is too good to drive on.
If you don’t have your personal convenience than also you you have three different options which are :
- By shared taxi or bla bla
- By public transport eg. direct bus to haldwani from delhi
- By train ; as you can reach to Haldwani from Delhi by train also

Nainital is one of the best tourist spot in India where people go and enjoy their vactation because it is quite close to north India and haridwar. Some of the nearby mountain forests are present where you can enjoy roaming around and trekking to the next spot that is jolly ki jali , which is one of the famous and most visited spot in Mukteshwar. - Mukteshwar Nath temple
Mukteshwar nath temple is a well known Lord Shiva temple present in Uttarakhand. This temple is very beautiful temple as it is present at peak of the hill. You will get the best views and the peace at this temple. You will have to reach mukteshwar and head towards the temple. - Chauli ki Jali
Chauli ki Jali is one of the famous spot in Mukteshwar where you can go and enjoy in the natural beautiful stone rocks, Here you can spend 3 to 4 hours roaming around the scenic spots. The best thing of this Chauli ki jali is the small market present here which have some of the best local breakfast shops. Here you can enjoy your apetiser at evening during sunset.

I personally love the path from mukteshwar temple to the Chauli ki joli because it is all surrounded by forest and you have to travel 1 kilometer to reach Chauli ki joli. You will get a lot of photogenic spots and another kind of experience which you will love. When I reached at Chauli ki Jali I was too hungry and I literally wasn’t expecting even a bottle of water , but suddenly I was shocked with the number of shops there at that place. Food there was good but the drinks like Keenu and Malta sikanji were the best.

I will personally suggest you to go with the forest side route to Chauli ki jali and not to prefer the steps present at left side of the temple because you will miss the scenic view and the experience of being in mountain forest. Don’t worry you will come back to your parking through the steps present near the temple and there also you will get some beautiful views of mountains.
Food and Drinks
You will get a lot of options in Mukteshwar for food and drinks because it is one of the tourist spot so there is no worries about getting food and apetisers. Locally you will get the drinks of Keenu and Malta (one of the hybrid fruit of lemon and orange) and it is quite tastier than any other drink available. You can also find some of the good valley view cuisine restaurants where you can dine in and enjoy your food with the great scenic view.
In mukteshwar you will get all types of restaurants like tapri’s on roadside with magiie , rice chhole and rajma etc. Here you can enjoy your breakfast or evening snacks and you will get a very beautiful experience of being in mountains and enjoying your snacks on mountain side tapri. For lunch and dinner you can choose from different types of cuisine restaurants which have great views in their balconies where you have to sit ,eat and enjoy the view.

Locally you can enjoy the local food made by some of the restaurants present in the market and also at Chauli ki jali where you must eat their Pakoda’s with a glass of Sikanji or with a cup of coffee. Locally eaten food involves chhola chawal and rajma chawal with some rotis and mix vegetable with salads. Malta sikanji is quite famous here as it is very tasty.
Activities and Adventure
Mukteshwar is full of different adventurous activities which you can do. Some activities here are paid and it will cost you around 200 to 300 rupees per activity like zipline and rock climbing. But if you really want to enjoy some free stuffs than you can treck to different mountains where you will get different view of mountains. Camping itself is one of the great experience you will feel here. You can enjoy camping over night and watch the beauty of the nature.
I personally like to hangout at different scenic views and enjoy in the nature but one of my brother done zipline also in 300 rupees and he had to climb back to the spot again which took him around half an hour. So I will be suggesting you to just have fun in mountains and let children do these activities.
And I will suggest you to always take care in mountains while climbing and sitting at different places because some spots are very dangerous and if not taken care than it can cause some serious accident and can lead to death also so be aware while climbing and walking in mountains. Specially take care at Chauli ki jali because it has some dangerous spots also, so stay away from them.
